I GOT AN "A"!!!! BOOO-YAAAAHHHH!!!!
In World Literature we are discussing Post Modernism. I don't think they should call the class world literature considering we only covered authors from America and Britain. Back to post modernism, I can't actually say that everything I write on this blog is true or real. Because my version of events are influenced by what I've experienced and this may be different from what others have experienced and even though the events may have occured the result of my account of these events may be different than someone elses. Gotta love Post Modernism.
I found my lost assignment. My teacher didn't collect it yesterday either so I'm gonna finish it tonight after work.
Homework for everyone....Define the civil religion in context of American society.....
Respond to this by Friday so I don't have to do it.
Bush outlined the strategy for Iraq today. I wouldn't say it was the same old thing but yet again it was. I completely understand the goal of training the Iraqi military and letting the Iraqi government solidify itself. I also understand as both succeed then the need for our troops will lessen. I get it. I don't understand why others don't.
I know that the administration does't give daily or weekly briefings on Iraq from the military stationed there. They did it during the Gulf War and the bombing of Kosovo. I think if Bush had the military give the daily or weekly briefings to let the public know what it is we're accomplishing over there, then it would ease some tension. When the strongest supporter for the Iraq war and the only man who makes sense defending our policy on it is Joe Leiberman, there is a major communication problem from the Bush White House.
You need to communicate with the people more Dubya!!!! Love to hear from ya.
Speaking of hearing from the President, I received a Christmas Card from the White House. It's signed by both George and Laura. The card has a quote from Psalms and the phrase "Happy Holidays" in it. That was nice. I didn't even sign up to be on the card list.
I guess us members of the vast right-wing conspiracy have to stick together. I thought Bush would still be mad at me because I forgot to plant the WMD evidence in Iraq. I guess I redeemed myself by building the hurricane machine to get rid of all those poor black people in New Orleans. Now if I can keep Karl Rove out of trouble with Plamegate then I'm golden. No one has caught on about our nuclear testing in the Indian Ocean that caused the tsunami.
I'm such a goof!!!!

I must have been very tired.
I slept like a baby last night. I didn't even hear my alarm go off. Needless to say I didn't get to go to the gym today since I was almost late for my 1:30 class. I don't understand how I became so tired. Maybe this semester is finally catching up with me. Well, I hope I got enough sleep. I will go into the gym and see ifI feel fatigued tomorrow.
I got my Lincoln paper back. I have to list my sources in the paper to get credit or it is considered plagarism. OOPS!!!! I have until next Tuesday to turn it in. I wasn't the only one who got busted for not citing sources.
I'm on break between classes right now. I have my terrorism class coming up. I am looking foreward to getting my exam back. If I don't get an "a" on it I will be dissapointed.

I had another bad day in the gym. Crap! I shouldn't have taken the week off!!! I didn't even finish my workout.
I'm pretty upset with myself right now. This semester my grades are awesome and I have been making gains in the gym. I've set the bar high for myself and on the physical side I'm not up to par. Most people my age just shrug it off as old age but I don't. There's no excuse.
The only positive was a decent squat.
My first day back from vacation was good. I was alert and talkative in my 8am class. Took some time out to catch up on my blog (that you're reading right now) and later I will go to Public Administration where I don't remember a thing of what we went over a week ago LOL!

Seth gave a wonderful Thanksgiving lesson. What made it wonderful is his transparency when it comes to emotions and his love for everyone in the congregation. The lesson was just a time out or reminder for the things that we are thankful for that we take for granted. He used Psalm 95 to illustrate.
I took the whole week off from the gym. I went into the gym today and didn't feel good at all. I guess I'll have to work myself into it.

The finances proved to be interesting.
My dad and I have a difference of opinion when it comes to creating a budget. My definition is an itemized detailed list of income and expendatures with possible graphs and charts. My dad's version is four of five lines of generic terms to define a large sum of money. I asked him to provide for me every account number and bill that they have along with any one time sums that need to be paid. I'll get him squared away yet!

I continued my relentless pursuit of reorganization. I'm almost done. One of the things I have to do is sort through the hundreds of CD's I have. I have been downloading them to my hard drive and I will sort through them one by one to see what I want to keep and what I want to delete. I have downloaded programs that I have never used.
My dad asked me to help him with the finances. This should be interesting.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
Insert things you're thankful for here.
My family and I spent Thanksgiving with the Chisholms. Mr. Chisholm was my childhood pastor and we are still close with them. We drove to Pittsburgh and spent the entire day with them. We watched the Atlanta/Detroit game and then most of the Denver/Dallas game. In the third quarter we put in the movie "Robots". That's a funny movie. Not much to it but it's a funny movie.
It's 14 degrees. EEEEKKKK!!!

I slept in this morning. I didn't have that blasted bird whistling or laughing maniacally.
I have been reorganizing my room and other items in the house. Mostly I have been finding places for the items we took out of storage. I have some hard drives that I am going through to see what is on them that I can keep. I found some old papers I wrote. I also found an e-liscence in the system registry for a football game I enjoy. I will be using this one.
I worked 5 to close tonight. I worked with a bunch of people who only work once a month and they are all lazy slackers. I understand that everyone wants to go home and enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow but when you slack off and don't do your sidework, it makes everyone elses job harder. I didn't get home till late because I was the closer and people I work with weren't considerate enough to do their job.

11-22-05 JFK Anniversary
Hey! Guess what I did today?
NOTHING!!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
I did take time to reflect on it being the 42nd anniversary of the assasination of President Kennedy. I spent my day watching History Channel documentaries.
Just a word to the wise....It was a lone gunman. Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK. Get over it!!!!

NATIONAL LAMPOON'S PRESIDENTIAL ASIAN VACATION!!!!
I swear every time I see something on Fox News or CNN or President Bush in an asian country, he looks like a big dork. It's like you could replace him with Chevy Chase and it would seem more natural. Now don't get me wrong...I support the president (65 percent of the time which makes me a reluctant neo-con) but he just looks so out of place. The whole "I just shot a 6 pointer" posture he presents when he slouches over the podium doesn't fit in with the more stoic and posture accented asian dignitaries. At least he didn't throw up on anyone....
ATTACK OF THE CANADIANS!!!!!
The canadians are travelling this holiday season and of course they must eat at my Cracker Barell. How do I know they are canadian you might ask? Well, I'll let you in on the secret.
1) If they ask if you serve beer, preferably a dark beer then they are not only Canadian but
French Canadian.
2) If they ask for ginger ale and look like their "uh-boot" to cry, then they are just regular
Canadian
3) If they ask for milk (not cream) with their coffee then they are Canadian.
4) If they want peanut butter on their pancakes then they are Canadian.
5) If they announce declarative sentences as if they were questions then they are Canadian.
Here! Give it a try....It's fun....Speak like a Canadian.....
"I want the roast beef? with apple sauce? green beens? and corn muffins?"
And their $#!tty tippers.....

My dad and I cleaned out the last storage shed. It was a proud moment. We finally have all of our belongings on the farm. It took some doing and over two years but it was done. We are now storing it all on the farm but at least it's all here. Now we have to go through the boxes and sort out what all we have. I found clothes I haven't seen in years.
I overslept and didn't make it to church. My parents left early to help with setup and didn't wake me before they left. I must have been tired because I didn't wake up until 11:15 and I didn't even hear them leave.

Today is the first day of Vacation for me...and what did I do? I worked all day.
There were some rivalries in College Football that were of interest to me today. One was Ohio State vs. Michigan. Ohio State won 25 to 21. Then South Carolina played Clemson and lost 13 to 9. Sorry Spurrier. I can't wait for South Carolina to get enough talent to beat the Tigers consistanty.

Yeah! I finished my Lincoln paper!!! I'm quite proud of it and I should post it on my blog. Yeah. I'll do that. Expect it online either today or tomorrow.
I have a few things to chat about though....
1. Rep. John Murtha is calling for an immediate withdraw of our troops. He's being labeled as the "Hawkish Democrat". All I have to say is...Where has the media been? This guy has been ranting this mantra for almost 18 MONTHS!!!!!!! I feel like when your favorite alternative band goes mainstream. Once they sell out or everyone listens to them then they aren't really alternative anymore. REM and Soul Coughing used to be like that. I guess now that the media has given him his 15 minutes of fame he won't be so cool in my book anymore. Heck, It's not even an idea whose time has come....
2. Hey! USA Today reports that revenue growth in the states could lead to tax cuts. EXCEPT FOR OHIO!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! Time magazine rated Taft the worst Governor in the United States. When will he take a hint and resign. Crook.
3. Hey! USA Today reports that my boy Mark Sanford is the third worst Governor in the US. That's bogus. If you look at the top 10 in the list all of them raised taxes. Sanford is so cheap he asks for tax receipts at toll booths. Considering how well the economy is doing in SC along with the reformation of government bureaucracy in the Palmetto state, I don't understand where TIME is getting their ratings. I personally think that Time gave him the rating because Sanford is a viable candidate for a 08 run for the White House. I can't prove that and I'm not going to deny that I'm a bit biased towards Sanford.
4. Today is the last day of class for a week. I have my 1pm class and then I'm on vacation!!!
I can't think of anything else right now.

Sensors on Public Toilets
I had to stop writing my paper and share my rant.....
What is up with the sensors on public toilets? I hate these things!!!! Does anyone else ran into the problem I have?
You go into the stall and first you inspect to see if the toilet seat is clean. If it's not then you take the necessary steps to clean it off. Then you cover the seat with toilet paper in an elaborate ritual that makes sure that your toosh doesn't come in contact with any of the seat while giving enough room for your business to fall into the comode. But as soon as you're finished and about to drop your draws to do the deed....WWWWOOOOOSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! All your time and effort is now sprayed with water from the flushing toilet! So unless you like sitting on wet toilet paper (if you do then you're a wierdo) you start all over again with covering the toilet seat.
My first solution to this problem was to be very stealthful and not make any sudden movements that would make the toilet flush. The only problem with that is if you sit on the comode and move in any way, you make the toilet flush. This means you can't move to wipe yourself or you'll get about 5 galloons of water spraid up your hind-in! So what's a person to do?
I have a solution. I now make a conscious effort to place a piece of toilet paper over the sensor. This keeps the sensor from sensing movement and flusing the toilet. Just take it off when you're done and it will do it's thing.
Crisis averted and no harm done.
That's why I'm here folks. To solve the unsolvable.

I took another Terrorism test. If I don't get an "A" on it I will be pretty upset. I nailed this test.
I wrote 6 pages of information regarding Al-Qeada and the conflict between media and the law. I better get an "a". My hand is still numb from the writing.

I overslept my first class today. I wasn't happy. I don't like to miss class.
Not much happening today. I had a great work out. My bench is going great. What I did was I switched up my exercises. It seem to be working. I started to sputter toward the end, so I'm gonna do the more important exercises in the beginning and the less important (for secondary muscles or already developed body parts) later.

11-12-05
I worked from 10am to 5pm today. Actually I was done by 4pm. I was placed in front of the fire place again. This means that I have the only section in the entire restaurant that is constantly seated. You would think that this would make me happy due to the large amounts of money (right!) that I would rake in? No, I don't like it when the rest of the Barell is empty all except for my four tables. No one helps me out and I would like a chance to take a breather every once and a while. It's non stop all day when it's cold outside and old people want to sit in front of the fire place. I cut myself at 3:30 and let others take my section since they were complaining about not making any money.
I came home and did the laundry. That seems to be my designated task here on the farm. Tomorrow I'm gonna clean out the chicken coop. It needs new hay.
I'm starting to put my Battlestar Galactica episodes on DVD now. For those who don't know I have a DVD Recorder hooked up to my Direct TV. So I can copy direct to DVD all the shows I record with the DVR. I just have to cut out commericals though.
Nice quiet day.

Happy Veteran's Day!!!!
Today President Bush gave a speech where he shot back at critics who said that he lied or misled us into war in Iraq. He said that they saw the same intel that he did and that now these people are trying to revise history. I agree with our President that these people are trying to back out of their votes by creating an alternate reality where Bush pulled a Lyndon Johnson. But I do believe that there should be an investigation into why the intel presented to both the President and our elected officials was proven to be false. I mean, how can our intel and multiple international intelligence agencies and the U.N. be all duped by Saddam?
I went and saw the movie ZATHURA. It's definitely a matinee.

The Ronald Reagan Dinner
Today I attended the Ronald Reagan Dinner which was sponsored by the Marion County Republican Party at Faith Methodist Church. It was a nice dinner with a 15 dollar admission. The keynote speaker was Vic Sprouse who is the Senate Minority Leader for West Virginia. His message hit home with me and confirmed what I have believed for a long time. West Virginia can provide services for less taxes. It's just a matter of reform and stopping corruption. I bought into what he said hook, line and sinker. I was asked to run for State Delegate afterward but I said no. I want my degree first and then maybe something down the road. That's even if I stay in this state....
The dinner was supposed to be held on the 25th of October but snow and lack of power prevented the dinner from happening at that time.

Not much going on today either.
We discussed Modernism in Literature class.
I updated my blog (which you're reading right now).
I have a prayer request: A friend of mine's (Carrie Slone) mom has breast cancer. She is going through some very rigorous treatment. From experience I know that this takes a toll on the whole family and the person recieving the treatment.
Please add them and her to your prayers.

Hey! Some new guy has been nominated to the Supreme Court.
He looks like a judge. So I say we appoint him. That's my criteria for judicial nomination. (Joke).
The Dems are threatening a filibuster already. Not only that, every froot loop and wack job group is coming out against this guy. Good. Bring it on.
Keep showing us regular folk who really runs the Democratic Party. People don't necessarily vote Republican because they believe 100% of their ideals. People vote Republican because regular folk don't align themselves with wierdos and counterculture socialists that run the Democratic Party. Thinking people who go to church are stupid doesn't help the Dems either (note to Howard Dean). It's the reason I left the Democratic Party.
