Records Are Meant to be Broken... Today was yet another relaxing day in South Dakota. The weather is very warm for this time of year. Usually it's snowy and with a sub-zero temperature. Not this year. It was warm enough for us to head to the track outside for a workout. Well, not that warm. I tried to run a lap for a warm up and my muscles were so tight from the drive up that I didn't practice. My brother had one of his college kids come out and run sprints. I kept an eye on his form. When he finished his sprint I told Chris if he had proper arm movement, etc. We were outside for a little over an hour. The sun went behind the clouds and the wind was pretty frigid. We went back home and had steak. Yum! Later in the day we went to the training center and I met two people that are pretty darn good track athletes. One was national champ in the 800m and the other was a 3 time national champ in the long jump. Chris trained the long jumper of course. :-) The highlight of the evening was heading to BW3's and watching Drew Breese break Marino's passing record. What a suspenseful game. Breese tore up the Atlanta Falcon secondary. It looked like he would break the record in the third quarter. Then the Saints offense just sputtered. We went crazy. It was like we were being teased. Then, like something out of a movie, Breese broke the record on a touchdown pass near the end of the game. Crazy! We went back home and went to bed. Chris has to get up early for work and I am leaving early to head back to Ohio. It was a good trip.
